The BC Ultrasonographers’ Society has an award that is presented to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to sonography in British Columbia. It is called the Teresa Allen Memorial Award which honors a young woman who died shortly after completing her ultrasound training. The members of BCUS and the ultrasound community of British Columbia would like to acknowledge your contribution to our profession and our workplace by presenting this award to you. Your research into repetitive strain injury and ergonomics has lead to many innovations and improvements to ultrasound machine design. These changes have directly affected all of us working with ultrasound. You have heightened the awareness of machine manufacturers and sonographers alike. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks on behalf of the ultrasound community and we wish you continued success in your research and applied innovations.
Sincerely
